This birdseye maple and koa box has a handle that is carved from Dall sheep horn.  The horn was from a winter-killed sheep and was collected from a small creek high in the Brooks Range.

This box could be used to store small treasured items, as a pet urn, or just a beautiful conversation piece.  The interior measurements are 6 7/8″x 3 5/8″ x 2 1/2.” The box was finished with several coats of a penetrating Danish oil and was then buffed and waxed.
