This box is made from an outstanding piece of quilted maple.  The legs and frame for the lid are made from morado and maple veneer.  The handle was turned from morado and Alaska moose antler. The turned antler piece goes all the way through the morado knob.  The box was finished with several coats of a penetrating Danish oil and was subsequently buffed and waxed. This wonderful little box could be used to store treasured items, as a pet urn, or as an interesting and unusual conversation piece.
